Our trips have been assessed against a bed-night emissions benchmark, built on ISO 14064-1, GHG Protocol methodology and the Hotel Carbon Measurement Initiative (HCMI) — those accounts for air, land and water transport, and accommodation. This gives us a clear, fair cost per person per night benchmark to offset.
Your contribution funds a curated portfolio of verified projects, independently certified through ICROA-endorsed registries. These include mangrove restoration in southern Kenya, community-led forest protection securing a vital wildlife corridor between Tsavo East and Tsavo West, and land rights and conservation work with indigenous communities in northern Tanzania, projects chosen not just for their carbon impact, but for the biodiversity and community benefits they deliver.
